Community Reviews
This ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 stands out as a well built Windows workstation with strong CPU and memory specs, a great keyboard, and a vivid 16 inch OLED screen that suits productivity and light creative work. The ThinkPad service experience also gets praise, including fast mail in or onsite repairs. Battery life is only moderate, around 3 to 4 hours under load, and the 300 nit brightness on some configurations is weak for daylight use. The speakers are poor for media, the palmrest can creak, and the Wi Fi card is soldered. A solid pick if you value workstation hardware and support over ultraportable polish.
Common Questions (5)
The Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 can handle local LLMs and basic AI work, but CUDA workflows need Nvidia graphics. For training or Whisper-style CUDA tasks, a discrete Nvidia GPU is the better choice.
Expect roughly 3-4 hours under moderate load, and less if you run the 4K OLED at full brightness. Black mode in Windows can help, but the screen is still a major power draw.
The OLED panel is praised for colors, but the laptop has been reported to lag when switching apps, and the palmrest can creak. The chassis still gets strong marks for durability, and Lenovo onsite service is a practical backup if something needs fixing.
A 300-nit panel is usable indoors, but it is far from ideal in daylight. If you work outside or near bright windows, a 400-nit-or-brighter screen is the safer pick.
The code was reported as expired for at least one P16s configuration, and some shoppers no longer see the EPP discount through their corporate link. A separate P16s AMD configuration was still listed at $1229 with EPP.

This or a Dell 16 plus with the below spec... Same price basically.

Windows 11 Home, Copilot+ PC
Intel® Arc™ Graphics
16", Non-Touch, 2.5K, IPS, WVA, Anti-Glare, 300 nits, ComfortView Plus
32GB, LPDDR5X, 8533MT/s, Memory on Package, onboard

I meant for business. ThinkPads with a lot of RAM are typically used for business or school use. A comparable Macbook is almost 2x this price.
