Who the heck is voting this down as not a good price?
Where else are you going to find this Ecobee Premium plus 2 sensors for $190? I had been hoping for this deal and just ordered two.

Agreed, solid deal. The downvotes are weird—must be rival thermostat owners flexing brand loyalty. Wild how people treat their devices like sports teams when there's nothing to win.

I also think some get big discounts through their utility's store, but mine only offers the Amazon thermostat—which I don't find much better than a basic programmable model. With rebates being minimal, this Ecobee deal seems like good value to me

If you need to order 2 you get an additional $40 off. "Spend $250 or more on select items and save $40 OFF of your order at checkout. Valid 11/27/25 through 12/1/25. ".

Thanks OP! Ordered 1 and added the 4-pack AirTag (since you get $40 off $250), making the AirTags only $25.

I didn't thumb down, but I don't advocate for ecobee anymore. They have no plans to support Matter, and they seem to limit the features when setting up with Google Home vs Homekit, etc. (these presence sensors cannot be used for automations in Google Home, unlike Homekit, for example)

Maybe not a big deal to some, but not exactly future proof and feature rich, either

I came from a Gen 3 Nest Thermostat. The Ecobee Premium is way more feature rich, with more settings, options, and better sensors than Google's vanilla temp sensors. Tomorrow I'm having a whole home humidifier connected and plan to control it with my Ecobee Premium, something my Nest thermostat couldn't do. Additionally, Ecobee actually supports HomeKit, unlike Google. For those of us using Home Assistant, this is great because with Homekit you can access your thermostat and sensors locally. I definitely don't recommend Google, and there's nothing stopping Ecobee from supporting Matter once it's more vetted and a widely accepted standard. That said, a verge article, and Google state Ecobee is committed to the standard but have yet to release a timeline on if and when it'll be implemented in existing or new devices. So I wouldn't rule it out in the future.
Added benefit: My utility company has a $50 rebate. This is an amazing deal.

A deals a deal, agreed.
However, not everyone is a Home Assistant power user, and Gemini for Home is rapidly advancing; Google Home is leaps and bounds better than it was just a year ago and is getting better. Google Home shouldn't be ignored, especially when other "easy" smart home alternatives such as Alexa are being considered.

Just pointing out the limitations of this hardware when it's deployment with Google Home is advertised as being equivalent to Alexa/Homekit. Consumers are free to buy what they like.

That latest Verge article is a year old btw, and ecobee has yet to release even a plan. This product was also released in 2022. There are other options on the market.

Bit on this as well. With the $40 off $250, got some toothbrush heads for a steep discount. My electric provider will make this pay for itself within 2 years.

This is a smoking deal. Bought this same unit last year and needed to use the $75 energy coupon from my local power company in order to get it lower. The Ecobee unit is great, if you want to upgrade don't hestiate at this price.

Keep in mind this thermostat is likely to apply for a rebate of some $$$$ with your electricity company. This should sweeten the deal further for you.

I bought two sets in August for $230 each. Could I buy two more and return them under the August receipt? Doesn't seem like thermostats fall under their electronics policy.

Good looking out. Centerpoint energy in MN has that rebate too!
