The $550 Omen direct from HP only has 512GB SSD and the cheaper black case with no side view window. All other specs the same.

This HP Omen 16L and the $550 version (512gb SSD) version from HP.com are both great deals. I almost pulled the trigger on either of these as I was also looking at the $700 PowerSpec from Microcenter with the exact same specs. The only drawback / deciding factor would be from YouTube reviewers brought up that the HP Omen 16L has some amount of custom plugs/wiring that prevents certain parts from being completely changeable if you decide to keep this system for a lengthy amount of time and need to swap parts. The motherboard is a custom HP board and has plugs that are custom to the CPU fan. Unsure how easy it is to replace the PSU. That's what you give up pretty much. The $700 Microcenter PowerSpec has fully listed specs with well known brands you recognize, full glass side panel and better RGBs, and you know you will have full ability to swap any part in there but it's $100 more than the HP Omen 16L equivalent...

Is RAM soldered to motherboard or Removable?
2 DIMM slots. I can't tell if this is one stick or two. Probably 1 stick, which probably doesn't matter too much performance wise.

2 M.2 slots for SSDs, so it's easy to drop in another NVMe drive on this system or the HP system. SSDs aren't quite so hard hit. Looks like you can get a 1TB WD SN5000/SN5800 for $66/62 from Walmart.

Another note, you don't loose any ventilation on this system vs the windowless case.

How much is a AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB GDDR6 Graphics card worth?
Probably about $180 give or take. There's no integrated graphics here, so you just can't sell the video card off it without a replacement.

Active the offer under Rewards tab first in PP. Go back to Walmart and checkout with Paypal. Use Pay in 4 option to complete the order.

All AMD. This is ideal for running steamOS (HoloISO). It's very similar to the spec of a GabeCube with a higher thermal limit and a couple more CUs on the graphics card.

Here is a review of the PC. Tempting, but it doesn't seem much better than my Ryzen 5600/A770 setup
