That's how percentages work when companies are trying to steal money from you. They are applying the 5% after the 30% discount has been applied. So you are getting 5% off $1431.50…not 5% off $2045.00. Don't spend $1,500 on a chair.

Their warranty is kick ass and is an actual worth while warranty. That's the only reason I can justify the price. I got a fully loaded Aeron for about 1K a couple of years ago and accidentally broke part of it. I had an entirely new chair sent out as a warranty replacement free of charge. HM also ships them fully assembled.

Over the years I accumulated alot of money in my HSA account. I was able to use HSA funds to purchase a HM Embody last year and have no regrets. Just had to get a doctor's note confirming I have backpain, but that was easy.

You can probably find a better deal emailing the dealers in your state. I was able to find an Embody in 2021 for ~$1000 direct shipped. I know there's been inflation since but still may be some deals out there.

I've had one of these for about a year now as I work full time from home. 30% off is what my employer discount got me, so this is a slick deal IMO.

BEST. CHAIR. EVER.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another when this one is done with, but with a 12 year warranty that won't happen for a long time.

Absolutely worth it in my opinion.

I bought my first Embody chair 14 years ago for $1300, it is still being used daily. Consider I WFH, the $ per day is miniscue. Probably the best $ I have ever spent period. Did I mention it is a freaking amazing chair!

The sooner you buy and use the more value you get long term.

this felt great when i was in it in store - the seat was comfy and the back very supportive and felt like it hugged me - but cant justify spending this much knowing i could hopefully find a used one lol
I justify it for my health, since your back will thank you later and it is still cheaper than paying a chiropractor to fold you like a quesadilla. I kept buying those Staples special chairs on sale and they would barely last a year or two which I suppose is better than my Tinder dates. One even had the gas lift collapse on me and I'm only about 160 pounds. I finally got the Embody and it has been treating me right since 2017 like the longest relationship I never expected.

Great chair! Purchased over the summer. Definitely has helped my back since I work from home plus game at night occasionally. This discount makes it a great price!

Hope you dont get audited? 🤣 my HSA let's me reimburse myself for anything as long as I check a box that says I promise the expense is HSA eligible.

I have/had almost every high end chair and I just never really liked my Embody, on the other hand I didn't hate it like I hated my Haworth Fern. Some days I liked the Embody, other days it was just meh. The Steelcase Leap is the best overall chair out there. My Humanscale Freedom is very nice but the build quality isn't there. For a "cheap" chair, the Steelcase Think V2 is an excellent chair, one of my favorites. Steelcase also has a Rolls Royce version of the Leap called the Leap Worklounge, discontinued and very rare, only pop up every once in a while on MP. Pro tip, buy a steam cleaner and get any of these chairs off MP for a fraction of the price, so so many out there and they last forever. If you have a nice house with a nice office or a nice executive office at your work, get a Gunlocke Washington.

at this point, this chair is no longer worth the price. it had good ergonomic ideas 20 years ago but it has been surpassed. check out the amount of configurations the libernovo omni dynamic has. the embody doesnt even have a head rest. most chairs now have headrests but it's not highly adjustable. often it would push my head too far foward straining my neck. im not saying the libernovo has better construction quality, i don't really know but i'm talking about the number of adjustments you can do.
the libernovo omni is not better than the embody in every category by any means. It's also not even in the same realm of warranty or tested durability.

Most of the things are gimmicky on the chair as well and it's just shilled by influencers for $.

I found an Embody at the curb while garbage picking a couple years ago. Needed some cleaning and new casters, but otherwise it was fine. I was shocked at how much these sell for and that was when they were $1800, not this $2000+ level. It's a good chair, but not $2K good. Glad I found it.

hsa is not free money. it's supposed to be there for actual medical expenses that you might need later. instead you put 1500 into a chair with no headrest. lol.
It's money they paid into their account. HSAs are ridiculously bureaucratic (IMO damn near immoral) scheme cooked up by the uniparty neo-libs and neo-cons, of a couple decades past, to helps line the pockets of the medical services, medical equipment, and banking industries and framing it to the consumer that you're getting more choice, which is just a dog whistle against a single payer system or even price controls.

I applaud the poster that was able to get an awesome chair. Funny thing is, if you or someone you know has back issues, that ~$1.5k+ chair will very likely avoid far more in pay outs to providers over a few years of care. I personally have probably had close to $4k in provider pay-outs for care/rehab for two degenerated discs in my lower lumbar, which I can say with near certainty was caused by the combination of being over 6' and always going for the $80 Office Max special in my 20s and early 30s. When/if I need surgery, oh hell, we're easily rocketing past the five figure mark.

Sorry to get preachy up here in my soap box, but god damn, we're so cooked. Americans always, as a collective, look at how the individual is "gaming" the system and ruining it for everyone else, but rarely looking past that to see who's committing far more egregious actions against society to further line their already overflowing pockets.

I remember 5 years ago I wanted this chair and hoped to earn enough for it. Now that I can afford it, I remember it costed 1000 MSRP then and can't help but feel scammed knowing this costed half what they cost now back then. I ended up buying a leather leap V2 from Crandall returns and felt scammed just the same.

What happened with these office chair pricing? It's the same damned chair why do they now cost double?

The Libernovo Omni isn't better and headrests are not ideal for perfect ergonomic sitting position, that's why all the high end chairs only have them as an option. Headrests shouldn't be used.
