That's how percentages work when companies are trying to steal money from you. They are applying the 5% after the 30% discount has been applied. So you are getting 5% off $1431.50…not 5% off $2045.00. Don't spend $1,500 on a chair.

Their warranty is kick ass and is an actual worth while warranty. That's the only reason I can justify the price. I got a fully loaded Aeron for about 1K a couple of years ago and accidentally broke part of it. I had an entirely new chair sent out as a warranty replacement free of charge. HM also ships them fully assembled.

Over the years I accumulated alot of money in my HSA account. I was able to use HSA funds to purchase a HM Embody last year and have no regrets. Just had to get a doctor's note confirming I have backpain, but that was easy.

I am certain these are lovely from a ergonomic perspective and in the home, but any other recommendations? I would like a nicer chair, but do not want to support the "pity city" CEO.

If you sit in the chair as long you sleep, then it is worth it. It's highly comfortable and promotes good posture. You could always get these on closeout pricing at their partner stores though.

This is a BIFL and buy once cry once with 12yr warranty. Herman Miller puts their 12yr chairs through torture tests and stands behind their products.

Agree. Purchased a used Embody. It still had warranty remaining so I contacted my local dealer. They replaced the back rest and seat. Just told them it was faded and the seat made noises.
