For reference, I have two of these V3 100Ah EcoWorthy server rack batteries purchased earlier this year: one is UL certified and one isn't.

The listing matters to the AHJ over the installation permit/inspection. That means the 'sticker'. You are correct if EW changes the design, it no longer complies unless additional design models were covered under the ETL testing procedures and the UL listing covers said models.

We don't know for sure this is a UL-listed model, so I'd ask seller directly if this is a version 3 and UL-listed. Great price if both!

I didn't see a version listed, and the last time I got a couple, I got v1.2. I can't tell the difference besides the ports.

V2 has the positive terminals on the right side, they changed that in V3 to have them on the left to match other brands so you can tell just by looking at the picture that this is V3 battery.

Somehow they drop the warranty period to 3 years for this battery. Better buy the ul listed for $100 more

Pictures from this vendor (and others) on eBay are not a reliable way to ensure you're getting what you think. I've seen the description NOT match the pictures many times.

Agreed - have ordered from Eco-Worthy before and it's always a different version of the product. One time I ordered 10 solar panels and received 3 different variations, although they were all the same spec.
If this is version 3, it's a great price.

Frustrating, and it happens across vendors. I suppose they're in a hurry to sell, post up misleading 'renders' to get the listing posted, and then have to get called out to rectify the listing.

eBay store confirmed these are essentially the rack batteries, but with different presentation, so not UL listed.
