The alternative is AMD AI 370 or Intel 256/258V, their iGPU is pretty close to a 5050. This machine competes with those not ai 340.

Igpus will subsume 16 gb of soldered ram.

Nevertheless, I agree that 900 is too much for these specs

again not even close to a 5050. The only igpu that is on that level would be strix halo but everything else falls short by quite a large margin. The strix halo stuff also costs signficantly more and on top of not having fsr4 they also aren't very power efficent.

the 5050 beats out the 890m in the hx370 by a factor of three.
