Good deal, but I can't bring myself to upgrade my 14" M1 Max with 2TB/64GB. Got it on another SD deal a few years ago and it still handles anything and everything I throw at it. I imagine this M4 version would be good to go for years to come.

Which one of these (Thinkpad P16s 96GB(ubuntu certified) + 2TB or this MacBook Pro) would be the best for ?
  • Office/College project work
  • LLM tuning (run local LLMs (similar to - 7B–33B, possibly 70B quantized) effectively >10 tokens/sec) (I'm not able to find the exact bench scores for either one of them running similar models)
  • Docker/VMs
  • Dual‑boot

Did anyone order this and actually receive it? My ship date has pushed out 2 times now and it now just says they'll notify me before it ships.
