I wish these EC-1000s were still Korean! I know people argue that Country of Origin doesn't matter but I'm not a fan of Indonesian guitars.

The Tiger Stripe would go well with a Lum cosplay.

Yes, absolutely. I had one but sold it for a Gibson Les Paul. Wish I would've kept it. The Gold Andromeda is stunning in person and the guitar feels solid. The EC series is the BEST Les Paul alternative, in my opinion.

i didnt realize they are not built in Korea anymore! my 2005 EC1000 built in the Peerless factory in Korea has been thru alot and still going strong w a few nicks here and there.

EDIT: that said, i'd still think the current EC1000s offer a really good bang for the buck for anyone wanting a LP style guitar esp if it comes w the stock EMGs like they used to.

I ordered the ESP LTP EC-256 Vintage Natural and EC200DX. They both seem like really solid deals, and the new price is quite a bit below used prices.

Indonesia is Korea's Mexico. Indonesian guitars are made by Cor-Tek or one of the other big Korean manufacturers.

That said, I would have a lot of trouble paying $1000+ for an Indonesian guitar. (Or Chinese, like some of the new Epiphones.) So I get where you're coming from on the EC-1000. But for $600 and below, I understand, and the Indo stuff I've played in that price range has generally been very good.

There's still some LTDs made in Korea. That KH-602 on sale is made in Korea usually. I guess it would depend on the manufacture date, but the purple sparkle one I currently have is a 2024 model and it's made there.

The blue burst went out of stock. Almost pulled the trigger on that one.

There's a guy who toured the cor tek factory on YouTube promo-ing the PRS. It's a good watch, very interesting.

yes. They're geared a bit more toward metal, but these are solid starters and the more expensive ones are good value mid range quality.

Sadly, the $309 ESP LTD EC-256 - Vintage Natural is already OOS.
Do you know how heavy is this guitar? I didn't see it mentioned in the specs unless I missed something. Thanks.

Dang, that's a bummer. My 256 was a little over 7 lbs. Fairly light as they're between 7-8 lbs.
