My favorite headphones for many years, I cannot recommend them anymore. The build quality fell through the floor and they don't honor the warranty. I got a special edition which lost sound on one side in just two weeks. I was given the option of sending it back at my expense and they would replace it with a regular edition.
My first pair went for years. Second went for years. Third fell apart immediately... and it's my problem?
I'm not alone in this. Koss is coasting on reputation but it's a different company now.

These aren't normally $80. Cut it out.

That sucks that they dropped the quality like that. Despite how these look, one of the best headphones I've ever used.

I had these 20 years ago. I don't know why you would buy them now given the cheap iem headphones out there. Mine broke relatively quickly as I recall as well.

I love IEMs, they don't love my ear holes though because they jam wax inside. To each their own, I own many excellent pairs of IEMs but realized that the more I use them, the more it accelerates the wax buildup problem I have.

Can confirm crappy build quality. The pair I got my daughter didn't last long. The sound was impressive and lived up to the hype though.

Have a pair of these that I bought 8-10 years ago and they sound great and are pretty comfortable for me at least. While they may not look fashionable today, I care more about sound quality then looks so it doesn't bother me that they look a bit 80's. I can't vouge for the quality of the newly manufactured ones, but that's a shame if they've cheapened manufacturing, but seems like most companies do that these days to increase profit and use the cheapest components and materials to cut costs at the consumers expense!

I bought a pair of these over a decade ago and returned them immediately. By far the most uncomfortable headphones I'd ever tried. Probably because I have a rather large head, but I've never tried any other pair of headphones or earbuds that just caused pain the second I put them on. If what people are saying is true about the quality, I assume these would just snap in half if I tried to put them on. Can't believe these are still around but the Sennheiser PX100s were discontinued.

Wow. I can't believe how much these are going for now. If I was back in the day with a diskman I would love them. I got a pair a few years back just to check them out. They're okay. Just lightweight so light duty. That's what everyone complains about since they fall apart If you are e rough with them. I folded mine up, set them aside and haven't looked at them in years. At least they're in a nice little case. Now that my phone doesn't have a headphone jack any longer I don't sample headphones as much as I used to. I liked that they were so small and light with a decent sound But I had or have like 10 or 20 sets of headphones I like better.
