Google Fi's 50 percent off promo is a strong low-cost option for multi-line T Mobile service, with reports of solid coverage, good priority, and smooth switching from other carriers. The plan can be especially appealing if you want watch or tablet lines included at no extra data charge, and the higher tier adds international roaming data. The main catches are that Apple Watch is not supported, taxes and fees still apply, and the discount is targeted to port ins and can be finicky at activation. It looks best for Android users who can get all lines activated on time.
Common Questions (5)
No. Google Fi does not support Apple Watch cellular service; Apple Watches can only work over Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi, while Android Wear is supported. If you need standalone Apple Watch service, a different carrier is required.
The discount is automatically applied on the first month's billing statement, and the 50% off is taken from the total bill including taxes and fees. First bills can generate around day 4, so lines that are not activated in time may miss the promo on that bill.
Yes. The offer is for port-ins, and the discounted pricing is tied to new lines that are ported in and activated during the promo window.
The Essentials plan can throttle after 30GB, and one user reports average use around 7GB per month. Fi is also described as not deprioritized on T-Mobile, but it is still not the same as an uncapped plan.
Watch and tablet data lines are not charged on some Fi plans, and one user reports paying about $140/month for 4 lines, 2 cellular watches, and 3 cellular iPads on Unlimited Everything. The watch add-on is described as free with a phone plan.

I miss Fi service so much! Verizon Network is trash and my Fi service never failed me. I wish I wasn't stuck on a 3 year contract with Verizon now...

Probably time to look into us mobile with their Multi-Network Add-on.
They claim it's half priced under their promos, but that's where I really dislike their site layout and continued gaps.
