If you are getting cards to play with, it's typically recommended to buy single cards. If you like cracking packs open or using them with friends for sealed types of games, then buy packs. Most stores will sell these for 7$ a pack, so this saves you a bunch compared to buying individual packs to open. Past that, it's just opening loot boxes and gambling.

You could open every pack and pull 60$ in value, you could get 300$, just depends on the random pack.

Because MTG cards are not worth nearly as much as youtube shorts make you believe they are.

Great price. I picked up some a month back for drafting. Will pick up another 1 or 2.

There was just a reprint of Final Fantasy by Wizards of the Coast

For anyone who has bought one of these boxes before, did you you get a good assortment of cards?

I've heard a number of people felt MGT boxes in the past like this were largely a scam because you don't get cards that are worth what you pay for the box.

At this price point I'm wondering if that holds true?

Good investment to buy a box and keep sealed for a decade?

There are all random god boxes out there. I felt like it was more possible in the early boxes but it's definitely less dense with getting something like cloud, sephiroth, staying town, and buster sword in a box. My brother got 2 clouds, tifa, kotr, Vivi, and traveling chocobo in a release day box

No, only if you have a warehouse to position yourself and buy entire cases of this stuff. A single box and you're more likely to run into people trying to rip you off with all sorts of claims. MTG has become a scheme for whales and run into the ground by Hasbro; shame for what was a great game ruined by greed.
