It's likely not as fast as the various K1 and Flashforge printers but it's not old school Ender 3 slow. The lack of an enclosure makes printing some filaments harder but it should do PLA nicely. This might be the best really low cost printer deal right now though it comes with the Creality refurb question. That and I really do like the FF5M I've had for the last year and a half.

I mean for $100 more I can just get another A1C.
These AMS units are so overpriced it's ridiculous.
Bambu gives it to you for $100 with the printer purchase and it feels like light as a feather,well the AMS lite does and that is actually the superior design.
No retraction and Center mounted spools is the way to go.
If we're $200 for the combo I would jump.

You gain for Z volume and have Klipper but that's it.

Things are evolving so quickly
I have to say this printer is nicer than the new ender 3 V4
And the ender 3 V3
And the ender 3 V3 looks better made than the new ender 3V4
The gantry on the ender 3v4 looks very flimsy and the whole thing looks like a Bambu A1 clone just with a weaker gantry.
I like the look of the HI and the V3 better.
But let's face it reasonably priced multi tool and multi material without poop is going to make all these current machines obsolete very fast

As was the creality_refurbish K! I just bought. Refurbished does suggested used, but with the added component of refurbished. Mine was used-defective. It still had the users data on it showing the error codes it was throwing that were still showing up for me. I was able to correct it. You need to be willing to repair these "refurbished" printers. I had asked for a replacement but that was not possible as the stock was depleted. It does come with a 2 year warranty.
