The price drops from $500 to $435 at midnight ET, in two hours. Your coupon drops it to $419 right now. I really wonder if, at midnight, it drops another $65 and your coupon applies, making it $354.

Update: Nope, the midnight deal was a different non-stackable coupon code. Yours is the better deal.

Hope it works after price drops. Look forward to it ✌🏻

I think this is the one Best Buy had briefly for $400 before pricing back up? Wonder if that price will come back.
Either way, looks like you can stack the PayPal pay in 4 20% with this. Appears to be the best Lenovo under $500 I've seen so far that includes 16gb and number pad.

Coupon still works to bring it down to 419 but doesn't stack with the BF coupon.

How is the snapdragon/ARM on windows vs a regular AMD/Intel chip? Looking to get a new computer for a very old relative whose WinXP system *finally* died. They'll use it for writing angry letters and doing their taxes.

I ask because I may inherit it in a few years, lol.

TLDR: ARM is good for writing angry letters, hit and miss for anything else.

I would not recommend it for someone that can't troubleshoot problems. A lot of software won't work on Windows ARM. Many things that will work are emulated and be buggy or require tweaks to install and run. I just read that Turbotax isn't ARM compatible, and they may continue to push users to the web-version and never come out with an ARM version. I can't even find a mention of H&R block and Windows ARM.

Software with ARM versions, the word "tax" doesn't show up on this list:
https://armrepo.ver.lt/

Searchable list of software with ARM versions, and some info on emulation that doesn't really mean 100% compatible, but maybe. Also no tax software btw.
https://windowsonarm.org/?search=tax

Completely useless and wrong yes/no compatibility list that claims Turbotax has a native ARM version:

This will be my first ARM laptop to experiment with so I just don't know. This one has a Snapdragon® X X1-26-100 Processor which, according to PassMark, is sort of a middle of the road CPU. It seems to have worse single-thread performance and better multi-thread performance than comparable x64 CPUs. The integrated video card or the nature of ARM or how optimized the program is for ARM could all give surprises on that front. It's definitely something I'm curious about as well.
