I've had this luggage for 3 or 4 years now and I'm a huge fan of it. I originally got it because wirecutter recommended it. It fits in the overhead of all domestic flights. It's held up well without even much of a scratch outside of it. I really like how the wheels have magnets in them so that the wheels glide in the same direction. I do wish that the external USB port was USB C instead of the old USB A.

Tempting. But it only has 39 L of space.

I would jump on this if not for: "DuraGuard® coated exterior fabric resists water and stains." Hi likelihood it includes PFAS and other non ideal chemicals.

It looks like they have both now! Pictures aren't too clear, but it looks like there's a USB C cable plugged in with an additional USB A slot, and the description does explicitly mention "External USB A & C".

Great deal - I've been waiting for this kind of deal on a Travelpro Elite Platinum for quite a while now and this is MUCH lower than anything I'd seen previously. The smaller capacity (39L vs 46L) is a concern, but I guess I'll know once I have it in hand. Most of the time I do not need the full 46L capacity (we have two others).

One carry on luggage costs $195? Expensive, isn't it?

I think it's expensive. I've had Costco luggage for around 4 years now and it's scratched up but still works. I got the big bag and carry on for $160. I'll stay on this road.

LifeLast DuraGard: This is described as a 100% solid polyurethane coating, and polyurethane is not a type of PFAS chemical.

7L is about a 7.5" cube, so, maybe 3 toddler pairs of shoes.

It's definitely a nice bag, but I dislike how easily it will roll away from you on the slightest gradient. I've taken my hand off to check my phone for a sec or get keys out, and it's rolled off on its own. Has resulted in it falling off my porch or almost rolling down stairs at the airport.

Is there a way to lock the wheels from just rolling off if you're not actively holding it in place?

Yes, this is an expensive carry on. But there is a noticeable difference in quality. I bought the 46L for a rock bottom price during heavy COVID when nobody was traveling and it's great, but I wouldn't pay anywhere near its current Amazon price. Strong and comfortable handle, rolls smooth as a baby's bottom, and designed well. I notice a lot of flight attendants use it, so that makes me feel cool as I shuffle back to my economy seat. For an occasional leisure traveler, I don't think it's worth the price. But if travel is your business/life, it's a good bag and durable. I just agree with the above post pointing out this is 39L (vs 46L), which may make big difference for you. Thanks for the post, OP... this is a good deal for certain SDers!
