Product specification says the processor is Snapdragon X plus (SC8280XP). Item details say the model number is EP2-34093 (model year 2025). Do you see now?
I am waiting for the delivery of this laptop. I can confirm the model number soon.
How much difference is the Snapdragon X Plus (10-Core) compared to this one? $50 more worth it for this than the microcenter deal?
The Snapdragon X Plus performs slightly worse on synthetic benchmarks, but sustained real world use there isnt a substantial difference due to throttling. The biggest difference outside of synthetic benchmarks is that the Elite eats a lot more battery life for casual tasks.

Interesting. I think I'll go with X Plus since I don't do anything too tasking or professional needs.

For the 13.8" laptop the plus is the best choice IMO, given the battery lasts 15-20% longer with the plus for casual tasks like watching videos and web use. Only the 15" surface laptop has enough thermal headroom where the elite is substantially faster in real world use.

I have bad news. I received the laptop today. I entered the serial number from outside the box at Microsoft's 'Check Warranty Page' (mybusinessservice.surface.com). It shows the device is:
Surface Laptop 7 - Copilot+ PC - 13 in. Plus/16/512
This means the laptop is not 13.8 inch Elite model (2024). It is 13 inch 2025 Plus model. One bonus is that the storage is 512GB not 256GB.

Is Amazon refunding or making up for the bad item info?

If you mean it's the 2025 13-in model with the 8 core plus CPU that one is far inferior to the 2024 13.8in model with the 10 core plus CPU
I opened up the box. It is 13.8" X Elite. This unit may have been made for Amazon only. I need to fire up windows to check if the processor is really X Elite.

The 13 doesn't offer Sapphire as color.
