This Target Circle gift card promo is a straightforward 10 percent off Target gift cards, with the best value coming from stacking it with payment rewards or using it for bigger planned purchases. It works online and can load into a Target wallet, and the cards can be handy for groceries, Target Optical, CVS inside Target, or a future console like the Switch 2. The main catches are that discounts do not stack with the RedCard on the gift card purchase, Target gift cards cannot buy other gift cards, and the offer was glitchy at launch for some carts. A solid way to prepay for Target spending if you have a clear use for it.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, PayPal checkout can work and has been used to earn Chase Freedom's 5% back on the purchase. The 5% PayPal bonus is tied to Chase Freedom/Freedom Flex quarterly categories, and some shoppers had to switch from desktop to the Target app or phone when PayPal errored.
The discount appears in the cart for logged-in Target Circle members, and the purchase can be made from home with digital delivery or auto-load to your Target wallet. Some shoppers did not see it immediately in their account, so it may be targeted and can show up only when the promo goes live.
No stack applies to the Target gift card purchase itself, so the promo is effectively the straight 10% off. The RedCard's everyday 5% discount does not apply to buying Target gift cards, though it can still apply later when spending the gift card on eligible purchases.
No. Target gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards in-store, and this promotion only applies to buying Target gift cards, not other brands like Disney or AT&T prepaid cards.
Yes. Target gift cards can be used at Target CVS pharmacy and Target Optical, which makes the 10% discount useful for prescriptions and glasses purchases.

Only thing I buy at Target is Bounty paper towels when they have deals like 15.00 gift card with purchase and then get the P&G rebate.
Target regularly puts Purina on Target bonus for 20% off and I have stacked this 10% GC + 20% bonus offer + $5 coupon + $5 GC rebate.
On a $75 purchase that works out to about $45+ tax (40% off) after all offers and rebate.
No. They're good forever, unless someday Target declares bankruptcy.
(not just the restructuring kind, but the completely shutting doors, gone forever kind.)
OH, you can load them into yur Target acct I guess. That will safeguard the value. But then you can't give them to other people as gifts down the line. It becomes like store credit you have to login to your Target acct to use.
