Wondering the same. Maybe bc tax and all the nonsense fees actually makes it more like 3500 upfront

Check insurance rates before leasing...
Tesla offers insurance but it's nanny insurance and I somewhat regret it

Not necessarily. I'm leasing a non-Tesla EV and the insurance on it way cheaper than what it would be on a Kia Soul, Nissan Versa, or Hyundai Elantra.

It monitors your driving and changes rates every month based on your safety score. But dumb things like "driving after 11pm" count against your safety score. Also, autopilot will follow too close to cars and it won't complain, but switch to manual driving and it goes BEEP BEEP even if I'm 30ft behind a turning car.

One month I tried to get it as low as possible, got charged $98. Today I don't gaf and get charged $190.

thats not true. unless your selected to drive 10 mi a month on the ev and 200 mi on kia soul. no way you would pay less insurance on a cheaper cars. that just doesnt make any sense.

There are risk profiles associated with different cars (which also takes into account parts availability). For me, the difference between leasing an EV (with full coverage) and buying a new base Elantra was nearly 100/mo!

It could. Depends on the insurance company. There's a big range of premiums between different carriers

What is the buyout price for this? Will this be overall lower price if bought out at end of lease?

Tesla already got your data even if you do not have the insurance.

But you are right, Auto drives so damn close and it worry me as I live in a state with a lot of bad drivers
