A lot of these are made for mini cats. Most cats probably aren't going to be comfortable in/on these tiny perches and boxes.

I have one of these in grey. I have three cats, they all spend time on it. One of the top towers has broken off; my cats do take flying leaps at this from a chair. But despite that, I'm tempted to get another. At this price it's not bad at all.

One of the reviews mentions they have an 18 lb cat using this…

Poor cat. Look at the dimensions of the cat tree- it will clearly not be comfortable for most normal-sized cats.

Great for kittens and young cats, not so good for most adult cats, unless they like compact spaces. I left off one of the perch pads because our boy was more comfortable on the top of the middle hideaway. If properly tightened, it's pretty sturdy, and stable IF you have small cats, or if your cat only uses as a resting spot. It does come with a little strap that can be anchored to the wall, if need be. Our boy is almost a year and a half old and about average to a little bit under average cat size. So far he doesn't use it unless I place him on it watch TV.

It's so cheap that I'm tempted but honestly I probably shouldn't because my cats are around like 10 to 12 lb

Appreciate the answer

We have this. Bought it for our new kitten and for that it's been great, but five months on she's still small at under 8lbs and even she is taxing its weight limits. Our other cat is 12lbs and no way he's getting on those pedestals. He's got long hair and he stuffs that upper "room" almost copletely full.

I can't imagine an 18lb cat would be able to do anything but squeeze himself into that upper room and that's only if it's really limber and has legs hanging out. Our 8-pounder completely covers the top pedestal when she's curled up.

These are not worth it as it's so cheaply made, and it's a build it yourself thing, where the particle wood is so weak
