Open box AirPods Pro 2 with the USB C charging case are drawing interest for the low price and easy returns, especially when the units arrive looking new. Delivered pairs have been reported with untouched tips and cable, working firmware updates, hearing test support, and even limited warranty showing in the app through 5, 28, 2026. The main concerns are condition and seller trust, with some units arriving heavily used, scratched, missing the box, or still tied to the original owner. There are also worries about warranty, counterfeit risk, and hygiene, though new tips can help. A cautious pick if the return window is doing the heavy lifting.
Common Questions (5)
Units have arrived in both conditions: some look brand new with untouched cable and tips, while others show scratches and obvious prior use. The listing can therefore be a true open-box gamble, so inspect the condition immediately and use the return window if needed.
Yes, the deal was repeatedly treated as low-risk because returns are available, including store return or free returns depending on the purchase path. That makes it practical to compare two units and keep the better one if one arrives in worse condition.
VIPOUTLET is an eBay seller, and buyers have had both good and bad experiences with them. The main concerns are suspiciously low pricing, third-party sourcing, possible cancellations, and the possibility of counterfeit or heavily used units.
Some units show limited Apple warranty in the app through 5/28/2026, but the serial number can also show an invalid purchase date. AppleCare eligibility was asked about but not confirmed, so check the device's warranty status after purchase before relying on coverage.
The earbuds can be cleaned, and replacing the ear tips for about $5 is an easy way to make them feel fresh. That helps reduce the main open-box hygiene concern even if the shells themselves show prior use.
