Open box AirPods Pro 2 with the USB C charging case are drawing interest for the low price and easy returns, especially when the units arrive looking new. Delivered pairs have been reported with untouched tips and cable, working firmware updates, hearing test support, and even limited warranty showing in the app through 5, 28, 2026. The main concerns are condition and seller trust, with some units arriving heavily used, scratched, missing the box, or still tied to the original owner. There are also worries about warranty, counterfeit risk, and hygiene, though new tips can help. A cautious pick if the return window is doing the heavy lifting.
The purchase can include a return option that helps manage open-box risk if condition looks heavily used.
The open-box AirPods Pro 2 can arrive in brand-new condition with untouched USB-C cable and tips.
The open-box unit can support firmware updates and even a hearing test after setup.
Replacement ear tips can help address hygiene concerns with open-box earbuds.
Counterfeit risk and seller trust concerns can make the deal feel suspicious, especially with a third-party seller.
Some units can arrive with scratches on the front and back, which may require returning the item.
Some listings can be reviewed as used rather than truly open box.
Some serial numbers can show an invalid purchase date even when the app displays limited warranty coverage.
