But it has a ARM processor and the comments on that thread detail the limitations of that
I'm pretty PC savvy. I've built quite a few over the years. I'm good a t troubleshooting. But what I don't know is if the issue is with her laptop or with her.
So I ask are all the sub $400 laptops the same or will there be a difference if I get her some other brand other than an Asus? Is so what do I get?

Good. This, and the fact it is NOT a 2-in-1 is the very reason why I ordered it.

And then there are people (cough, mother in law, cough), who are simply and chronically technologically challenged, and there is no fix... fixing one issue, will simply result in another down the road. I find that 99% of all computer issues are resolved by simply shutting down and restarting, it's the first thing I ask, "Did you shut it down and restart?"... Then there's about 30 seconds of silence followed by, "Never mind".
