PP showing only $25 off not $40 for me. Also note single 16G DDR5 stick and TDP above manufacturer spec without ability to adjust in BIOS (but apparently there is a registry hack to bring it back down).

I would check out Cyber Monday deals tomorrow on Aliexpress... just be careful of the seller. I saw some sold from furniture stores which make no sense, some sort of scam with tracking #s already delivered.

For me I was looking at retrogaming up to PS3 and Teknoparrot, and the 680m with 16GB DDR5 is more than enough.

What's the benefit to lowering the TDP, so it doesn't overheat? Wouldn't a higher TDP actually be better for performance?

I have the Firebat A6, and I'm really enjoying it. The only thing I've seen that this guy is talking about is one video review talks about it running at 80c under load. 80c is fine and normal for a laptop chip which this is. My unit runs quiet, and I haven't had any issues. I've been playing Wii on it, and I am able to run at 1440p on vulkan. I don't know if that's a limit of the CPU, but it's probably more of an IGPU issue. Still looks great.

Awesome, i'm waiting for mine to arrive but running at 1440p exceeds my expectations as I plan to run everything at 1080P.
