Yes, for the most part.

Supposedly its a fairly simple upgrade, just the ESC and motor and possibly pinion. I believe the rest of the drivetrain is identical to the BLX version. You should come out ahead even after the price of upgrades.

I was insanely jealous that I didn't get the coupon for the yellow one. However, amainhobbies has $15 off black friday coupon to lower this price, so ordered from them to get a little closer.

May I ask where ou found the coupon? I have a buddy that wants to pick one up and it seems amazon killed the coupon now. I tried the BF1025 code and it said the product was ineligible. Thanks.

What are some cheap lipo's that will work in this? Ain't gonna drop $60+ on a lipo cause of Spectrum's connectors

Ovonic 2s lipos. Right now I see them at 2 for $26 for the hard case ones. Soft packs are 2 for $23.
