This is an upgraded model with G10 scales and 20CV steel. The G10 is stiffer and the 20CV has better edge retention. This addresses the common criticisms of the Bugout.

If memory serves me right, the sale price hasn't been this low since 2022.

This is a one day sale so if you want one don't wait. Also, the CPM-20CV Blade steel while not better overall than the vaunted MagnaCut steel, is listed as having better edge retention than even MagnaCut. It's just not as tough and the hardened steel more prone to chipping than MagnaCut.

This Knife
Blade: Satin-finished drop point blade made of CPM-20CV stainless steel.
Opener: Dual green-finished titanium thumb studs with bronze pivot washers.
Handle: Textured gray G-10 handle scales over nested steel liners.
Lock: Safe, strong, and ambidextrous AXIS-Lock mechanism.
Carry: Reversible Mini Deep-Carry pocket clip and oversized lanyard hole.

I'm guessing you posted this comment yesterday. I just checked the price again and it has expired.

Thanks for sharing your input on the steel. I think Magnacut may be overkill for how thin this blade is. I see magnacut ideal for heavy uses.

The price has gone up since it was first introduced. I believe it started at 190 back in 2020. Went up to 243 until it was recently on sale at 179. Black Friday price was 150. But now it's back at 179 but it's still their "sale" price. Maybe they are discontinuing it.
