Do real people wear these? I am tempted, just so I can tempt the ladies looking for a down home man :-D
My theory is this sort of crowd moved to jumpsuits after these got a negative reputation. I think a lot of people moved to khaki jumpers to be more stylish. And those do look a lot better.

What man cares about "pulling off a look" with his workwear?
Wow, it's shocking how much this country has changed.
Who said everyone has to use it as workwear? You? You tell people what they can wear and when?
Since you're so interested in my wardrobe, I wear coveralls when I work (wearing them now as I head out on a Christmas tree hunt). I figured overalls would be comfortable to wear when camping, and I'd rather not look like a wannabe gangbanger with parachute legs.
Clothing should fit right regardless of the occasion.

Legs on work pants are made to fit over boots so as you crouch and stand up again the hem isn't caught up on your boot. If you don't wear boots and want a snugger fit, many drycleaners have a seamstress service that can peg legs, shorten hems, or even dart the waistband for 10 bucks or so.
The waists are also larger to avoid binding and stress on the seams. If you wear a sweater or hoodie, it goes under the overalls so you can still use the pockets and drop your drawers to use the bathroom. And, yes, some of us have waist sizes larger than our inseams.
I learned to hem pants in public school. Same with baking cookies, spot welding sheet metal, and cutting wood on a band saw.
This country has changed. We used to buy clothes and make them fit without whining so much about people who had larger waists. Because we understood that you can take material out, but most clothes didn't have much extra to let out a seam.
And literally no-one went around accusing mechanics, loggers, farmers, or firefighters of being gangbangers because their pants were made to fit boots.
