Best Buy in my Uber app is not accepting orders at this time. I can search and find the pro 3s no problem, but the store is not doing the order thing.
I bought the gift cards and tried to make the purchase. Uber eats had automatically applied the relevant promos. When I clicked place order, it failed because it said some of the promotions weren't valid… why is uber automatically applying promotions that it wont let me use? Who knows. When the order failed it put my uber cash balance (from the gift cards) in an authorization state so now my balance is $0 even though no purchase has been made.
I've been repeatedly given the runaround by their support people over the past day and a half. I've been told by at least 5 people more than 5 times that the balance would be released "within a few hours". Not sure they can tell time because 36 hours != "a few hours". Now they finally told me that it won't be released until December 5th. I'm sure the sale will be over by then so now I'll be stuck with $200 in uber cash that I have no use for. And I did literally nothing wrong to cause this error… uber automatically applied promotions that uber decided aren't valid, and then made my uber cash unusable for over 7 days. What a horrible company with even worse customer service.
anyway, great deal if it works for you… but be cautious and maybe don't bother if you have no use for $200 in uber cash if they decide to totally screw you over.

The bad thing about the Chase Sapphire way is that you'll have an extended delivery time. Which isn't a problem if you aren't in a rush.
