Well, this one pushed me over the edge. I've been on the lookout for a year for a device to replace my 1660 ti Lenovo legion It was between this and the Lenovo legion 5 5060 offered by antonline for $1000. I was considering the lenovo vs the 1200 version of this. When I saw it was 1150, that was what broke me 😂 best deal available hands down

This is not a bad display at all, but it might come up short when you talk about photo/video editing. You would want a better display in terms of color gamut, for example, an OLED, AMOLED, or Mini-LED. The GPU and processor are more than capable for 4K editing.
OLED, AMOLE, or Mini-LED have nothing to do with colour gamut. You can get a 100% SRGB OLED and a 100% DCIP3 IPS, and they IPS will have a better colour gamut.

OLED offers blacks and response times. thats all. which is enough for many people to want them

No. For photo editing and video editing, Adobe RGB matters the most, and although 100% sRGB or 100% DCI-P3 is achievable with an IPS display, hardly any IPS will give you a 100% Adobe RGB. So again, a professional photo or video editor would consider a panel with that.

The farking code doesn't work with EPP, telling you "the coupon code you have entered is not applicable for products in the cart" which is total bullshit because it works when I apply the code to the same item in a private browser tab.

Sure, but you state it like OLED/Mini LED etc have anything to do with colour. they do not.

they CAN be pared with good colour gamut, as can IPS. Some of the highest quality most professional screens with proper colour space, profesionally calibrated etc... are NOT OLED.

People in the consumer market get gaslit into thinking then need OLED/MiniLED to get good colours, they do not. Hell ive used 100% srgb (not adobe) OLEDS.

PayPal has an offer for some account holders to get 20% cashback (up to $1250) on the first use of their Buy Now, Pay Later service when checking out with PayPal. Check your PayPal account in the web. I found it there, but not on my app.
Does the 20% cash back show up later? I saved the reward and checked out with pay later but nothing is showing up in my cash back yet so not sure it applied or not.

You sure? According to this video tear down of the same model class, there are clearly two slots for drives: https://youtu.be/vBsJhQmJ0fE?si=M6GZ9OQgG2CirhjP

Can I add a 2nd M.2 SSD?
Yes you can. Not sure why other person said no. Brings into question everything else they are arguing about related to the screen 😂
It says under product specs on HPs website under expansion slots that it has two M.2 slots. This fact is corroborated all over the internet

I purchased this for photo & video editing. Very capable to handle most processing, with a bit of headroom. The way I look at it- the display is perfectly fine for on-the-go editing, for content that will be viewed on web. For any more serious editing work, I'll connect my external high-gamut display to this. It has all the out ports you need. So for my needs, this laptop build is perfect at a really good price.

Also got one on the PayPal 20% deal. My only concern is 5070 8gm VRAM. Not sure if it's too little now that we're almost 2026

Yes interested to know the same.
The HP one has 500 NITS and 240 HZ.
Costco is 300 NITS and 144Hz..
So display seems better in the HP one. Costco is a bit lower in display.
