You don't get the peace of mind of Costco's warranty/return policy, and the extra Allstate warranty. It's much easier to return to Costco if you have an issue. A lot of people have complained about LG's customer service. So, it depends on what you care about. Do you want to save a few hundred dollars up front, that you'll have forgotten about in a year, or do you want peace of mind?
Plenty of complaints about the allstate plan as well. After 2 years, you no longer have Costco, you're with Allstate's branded warranty plan.

Lol. Costco allows people to return couches and Christmas trees after years of use. You think they won't hook you up if your TV fails after the 2 years? No matter what, Costco is the better route to go than LG, when it comes to coverage.

I've only had to deal with Allstate once over an accidentally damaged laptop and it was drama free. Allstate gave me a UPS label, I put it in a box, Allstate deemed it a total loss and cut a check for the purchase price.
I've heard that on the extended service plan end for larger items that you do have to be careful if their position is a replacement versus a repair, not in that they're difficult to deal with, but a claims adjuster may not understand the more subtle spec sheet differences between models beyond size (say 77") and resolution (4K). Display tech type, display tech within it, refresh rate, HDMI version, number of ports, etc... but if you know to say "this isn't eqiuvalent" it's pretty easy to get them to step up to an equivalent/better model, or they just throw their hands up and give their money back.

Again, beyond the ESP on the laptop for accidental damage, I haven't dealt with them. But that's what I've heard on the additional years of coverage for items like TVs.

So you think c5 is better than s90F?
Lots of trade-offs, the Samsung is a glossy screen and colors are slightly more accurate, the C5 is better at handing reflections and has pass through for DTS and has Dolby Vision. I might return this for the C5 unless I don't!

The partner store offer for the 77" C5 with soundbar and free mounting for $1,620 was the best deal I could find on this TV. Thankfully, I placed my order last night - now the 77" C5 is already out of stock on the partner website.
What do you mean by partner store?

If you have a wide viewing angle & have blinds / don't watch TV in the middle of the day in bright lit rooms, I would say C5. If you have tons of light you cant control *skylight, high up windows with no blinds, etc. Then TCL QM8K would be your best bet. Amazon had a sweet deal on them but current is OOO :/

Thanks OP, good deal. Repped.

I could have just bought the TV at the warehouse but I noticed if I ordered online for pickup, Costco only charged me state sales tax, not local tax too. So I saved ~$40 by doing a pickup.
