Have the OG of the high efficiency washer (non impeller version with buttons instead of a knob) with stupid level of hard water and the only thing I've had to do in 13 years of ownership is soak the pump (easily accessed in the back) in vinegar once a few yrs ago, and package taped over a button that wore down to keep it dry from ACTIVE family use and weekly sheet washing (doubly so as my version not having the impeller causes it to go off balance quite frequently which then fills it back up with water... Can take forever if I don't hear it )

I've also had to epoxy/insta steel over one of the dryer fins that was wobbling a year ago. Not bad for an LG pair that was ~700 at home Depot. With 13 years of price increases I absolutely would not hesitate to buy this pair if I was moving somewhere and needed an electric set. Doubly so with impeller! đź’ś

Lol, you think more than 2-3x the price is "a bit more expensive"? I'm not saying they're not worth it, but I am saying your logic is tragically flawed.

This LG top load washer and electric dryer pair stands out for easy loading, compact footprint, and long service life. The top loader is described as simpler to use than front loaders, and the set has held up for more than a decade with only minor maintenance. The dryer works well, though the top is sloped rather than flat, so it is not ideal for storing supplies. The washer can go off balance at times and may need the door left open more than expected to avoid trapped moisture. A solid everyday laundry set if those tradeoffs fit your space.

THE Biggest issue w the dryer is that it is NOT flat on the top so you can't store any laundry supplies on top. I was pretty pissed getting this dryer from Costco (exact same dryer) and it showed up with a downsloped top. It looked flat to me in the Costco images. Just a warning. It does work well though

I see a 4.5 cu ft washer/ gas dryer combo for $1099 with $100 Costco cash back and a $1299 4.8 cu ft washer with electric dryer with $100 Costco cash back (on the Costco app). Not quite the same

I have that in my cart as well and it's a gas dryer for $999. The only thing is I will need to upgrade to a GFCI outlet which is now code and I'll have to pay them to do it. I think my daughter paid $75 last year for her upgrade, hope it's the same price but I haven't figured out who to call to get a price since it's a 3rd party installer.

You asked for the link first of something that you didn't even know existed and then you're upset that I provided it as an option for other people that might be eligible?

Military or vets. Dont forget about the Home Depot partner website. You may be able to PM, with no taxes and applicable rebates and free shipping. I'm going to try after I get back from the gym.
Can you post a link for the Home Depot partner website? As a veteran, I would love to use.
