Great tool, great price. I'd buy this if I didn't already have a Kobalt set. Once you remove your first mangled bolt, you'll think this was the best $18 you ever spent.

Cheap garbage plastic m6 license plate bolt installed by car dealer snapped off and is fully recessed, can this also clear out that.

No, this is for mangled bolts with a head still intact. You need an extractor set that is made for removing the recessed part.

If that won't work you will likely need to drill it out.

In for a set. I have a couple sets of deep wells, but no standard sockets and none for those maligned heads. Thanks OP.

heat the end of a #1 Philips with a lighter for about 10-20 seconds and press in. Wait about a minute and then back out. Alternatively, you could also use an allen or torx if you have one.

It's a plastic bolt? If so, get a small flathead screwdriver, smaller than the diameter of the bolt shank. Heat it up with a lighter, once it's hot, push it into the remaining bolt, so the bolt melts around it. let it cool. Twist it out

Definitely good for home and the price, however, those smaller sizes in 3/8 drive will be a pain in tight quarters. I have a set of smaller size turbo sockets that are 1/4 drive, and still have the out hex surface for wrench use. Turbo sockets are pretty pricey, but I use them in a professional setting. I have a larger set of Irwin bolt extractors for DIY car stuff.
