Just got reply back from support....they said NO...kind of a bummer. I guess we will switch the landline over to voip.
I thought I read you could port a landline to USMobile, guess not! I ported a landline to Spectrum Voip and then decided to port it to Spectrum Mobile to take advantage of their free year offer. After that, I ported it to USMobile Warp.

Update - this mentions landlines. https://www.usmobile.com/blog/how-to-port-your-number/?srsltid=AfmBOorUPtVwInxZvYIYgYfg-tlXGS6nhiEbI... [usmobile.com]

They ship through UPS, if you ordered with phone then it's bubble mailer , thin and long.
Mine shipped by Fedex.

Also confirmed that the Maestro unlocks immediately via the Device Unlock app that comes included. Could be useful for a burner.

Do we have to use the Maestro phone to activate the promo plan first? If so, can we then switch to another phone of our own?
You don't need to activate the Maestro at all. Just put the sim in your own phone.

I rec'd my shipment today. Phone was in an AT&T pre-paid box. I unlocked the phone via a pop-up message. The pop-up was triggered by inserting the Light speed (T-Mobile) sim. They also sent the Darkstar sim but would have charged me extra to activate with that sim. A great deal. Thank you ss-slacker!!

Maestro is OOS while the plan deal is still around. The phone was an easy $40-50 discount off of the plan if you're able to sell it on CL or FB, which I did.

No...devs don't bother with stuff like this phone. Maybe GSI would work.

It was last updated in 2022. The phone is also quite slow. I think its main use could be for kids watching cartoons, that's about all I can come up with.

Is this truly unlimited high speed data with no throttling or other restrictions? Anyone tried upgrading the phone to something with better Hotspot and using it as their home wifi (Hotspot). I don't use a lot of data and have used Hotspot plenty of times with other carriers with no problem. Those were only briefly though and maybe US mobile would throttle you down or other limitations if your pull hundreds of gb high speed data monthly? Also I've heard people say the watch plan can be used with a unlocked phone but it's data only. I use Google Voice for my line so that wouldn't be a issue. I'm thinking someone could get by using the regular plan for home wifi and then use the smart watch Sim in a unlocked phone. If it worked it would be a huge savings!

I tried tracfone sim and the maestro was not unlocked, but later tried a tello sim and found out it was unlocked. Don't use TracFone annual plan for testing. maestro 3 is near useless except for emergency. seems to keep reinstalling junk game apps without permission.

TF SIMs are associated to the device it was activated on unless it's a BYOD SIM. I'm not sure if you determined "unlocked vs locked" by checking to see if it had service. Likely it won't have service with TF non-BYOD SIMs. Tello doesn't do that, Tello SIM will have service on every device. A phone is "unlocked" as long as it didn't reject the SIM that's inserted, i.e. it didn't pop up an invalid SIM warning or say there's no SIM inserted when there is one inserted. Whether it has service or not doesn't necessarily indicate lock status.

Maybe one text message got through with TF sim before it shut me down. Phone call had a message that said something like "return this sim to the other phone" lol

Yeah the fact that you even got a text message from Verizon towers prove that the phone is unlocked. TF just blocked service on the device since the SIM wasn't associated to the device. Btw I heard doing that with a non-BYOD TF SIM can get your TF line suspended. It's a security measure meant to block stolen SIMs from being used for 2FA, impersonation, and other types of fraud.

Y'day my TMo plan that's on QCI7 with Tello wasn't usable for any data at Costco and other shopping place s
Completely dependent on the service quality in your area. I've never been throttled below 100 mb/s in my city with either T-Mobile or ATT (Light speed and Dark Star), while Verizon (Warp) is regularly unusable in densely populated parts of town (Costco, etc).
