Paypal updated their offer to 1 time per account and sent everyone an email. 99% already used their offer. Stop multiplying these for every store.

Paying full price might be better anyway. Most of the "free iPhone 17" deals require you to switch to a plan that costs at least $70-90. Plus activation fee. If you go prepaid you can probably get a plan with everything you need for <$25. Do the math and see if it makes sense for you, I think no unless you're already on the $70-90/mo plan (and for some family plans) and it makes sense for you.

Doesn't seem like a lot of phone deals this year.

Check the actual transaction to see your points pending.
Yeah. I verified. But not points showing up. I see pay later active plans Apple Inc 0 out of 4 paid. But don't see any points any where on my PayPal account

Chase cards aren't eligible payment methods for PayPal "pay in 4".
Do you know if any credit cards are options? Or just bank accounts?

I just followed the steps, and purchased iPhone 17 Pro 256GB ( not the MAX version )
And, the PayPal shows the reward point is pending.
Is the 20% cash before Tax or after Tax?
Their terms say before tax.

Question, Verizon is offering the 17 pro max free ($100 payment, then credits every month for 36 months) with trading in my current 15 pro max (owe $535, but monthly credits again). That seems better than 20% off with the caveat of being locked in to Verizon for another 36 months. Honestly haven't had any issues with them or my current phone...thoughts?

Has anyone done this with their credit frozen? I see in the terms: When applying for PayPal Pay Later solutions, a soft credit check may be needed, but will not affect your credit score. Any idea what credit services they need access to for approval?

I just did it w trade-in
how do you get the credit for your trade in since PayPal pay in 4 price is the full price? PayPal already paid apple the full price of the phone.

"Points pending". I think I did it right. iPhone 17 Pro (non-Max) 512gb $1299 before tax/trade-in. Had to use Chrome; got an error in Firefox.
edit: I see "Point pending" on desktop and mobile, with no amount listed, but under Pending points it shows "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal. Your points are on the way! They should arrive within 90 days." so I'm guessing it worked.

This post is a bunch of lies and wasted my time. Warning others not to do the same.

Paypal does not allow you to exceed $1,250 regardless of your credit score in total purchases and does not allow you to split the transaction in any way. Apple will allow you to split using a credit card but not different methods like credit card and paypal. It's impossible to get a 256GB Pro Max without the tax being past $1,250 unless you live in a state that does not charge for taxes on iphone shipping or local pick up. This is the same message I get when trying to get the iphone:

Our records show that you requested to open a loan on 11/29/2025.

We regret that we are unable to approve your request at this time for the following reason:

Total balance on your outstanding Pay in 4 loans or the Pay in 4 loan amount you requested is too high.

Thank you for your interest in PayPal Pay in 4.

Sincerely,

PayPal
