I have done at least 50 Menard's rebates over 20 years, never had a problem with a single one.

Amazon Basics 4v by SKIL is also on sale $19.09. Very highly rated. I believe it was formerly called Denali and well rated by Torque Test Channel on YouTube.

Sams has some VERY sneaky clearance deals that are just pure bananas.

Just bought the "better" 242L from Amazon for $30. Is it worth keeping or returning for this deal? 🤔
Keep the 242, buy this $5 also Wink

The first reviewer rated the Dremel first place. I had one for a day and took it back. The push to activate feature was a problem feature that made the tool uncontrollable in some situations. Apparently, he didn't do real life testing.

Note that the mail-in rebate is for $20 store credit. Great deal if you have a Menards near you!
The rebates almost work like layaway for that big purchase you sometimes fall into later on. They never expire, so rake them in. I got a new grill one year and a replacement elec. snow blower another, with each mostly covered by rebates and having to shell out a small amount for the remaining due.

The Dremel is one I am interested in so thanks for the update. I can see where that could be a problem. In those situations you can also use the power button to operate the screwdriver function just like my Worx 240.

Either the manufacturers are lying or the reviewer's torque measurements are way off.

I don't recall there being a way to turn off the push to activate function. Just bump it a little and the thing takes off.

OP is an amazing deal if you don't want to pay $30 for the improved WX242 here: https://slickdeals.net/f/18837436If you think you won't be able to spend the Menards rebate, just know they sell food/snacks, too.
Bro... It's funny that I found this Menards deal cuz the wx242l got sold out at that deal price... I'm just gonna have to wait another sale on that to buy in, it fits my needs way better than 240

Depends on if you need the torque setting clutch. The clutch can be a good thing on a powerful tool. This one without the clutch is powerful and not good for delicate items. I think it will be good for cabinet hardware and the woodshop projects. I have other low powered screwdrivers that are so weak that they don't need the clutch. Getting the right tool for the job is complicated.
Absolutely keep 242l, it can work with tiny screws on not-too-delicate electronics, and the bit holder has lock-in function which is sweet
