Fr tho the units that only have one hose seem to work but "run hot" and cost a chunk of change to run. Grandma can install it in a pinch, which is a huge benefit of these.
Bought it in Oct. for $224 when my decade old window AC died. Being waiting for it drops price again to buy aonother. You know these days the electronic (regardless name brand and price tag) doesn't last as long as old ones made 10 years ago, always have a spare if it dies at the peak of summer when AC is sold at the highest price, a quintessential Amazon (aka, made in china) phylosophy, LOL.
$165 is a steal. However, I'm happily ordered at $219. If I don't have to deal with the AC in the next 5-10 years, the money has well paid itself. You know, there are so many more interesting things in this world. If a couple hundreds dollars can square this away, it's a deal.

When I need fresh air, I just open the door for a while. Due to lower air pressure after exhausting hot air outside, the fresh would always be sucked into the room.

Mini Split > Window Unit > dual hose portable > single hose portable
dual hose portable are more expensive and they might be a little more complicated to install, but they are worth it over a single hose.
