Do people usually leave the faceplate on or off when adding an extender...

I think most people would leave the faceplate on. I guess they expect you to replace the screw in the middle though with this design?

Correct, leave the faceplate on. I usually tape the original screw to the underside of the extender.

Bought one a week ago during last sale. It's nice to have but it doesn't tighten against the outlet very well, and hence is a little loose and insecure.

I would just use double-sided mounted tape, especially since I have Decora outlets anyway.

What's the benefit of over? They're not this brand but I've taken mine all off and they've worked perfect.

You will want to remove the faceplate. Use the provided screw and connect to the receptacle for a tight fit. It won't move and taking plugs out will keep it all in place. I have two of these and like the two usb-c.

Wish it had more juice and charged quicker but very happy with it.

Bought a couple of these months ago, they are fantastic and declutters a ton. The 6 plugs really cleans up a mess of cords than a power strip and now I don't have to worry about those stupid charging USB A adaptors.

Of course everybody talks about how these types of deals are rarely approved by some electrical standardized test. And given the price I'm pretty sure that this would be one of those that doesn't actually pass the test they might even claim to pass

I bought six of these style a few months ago. They are very convenient but charge very slow. I use these to charge overnight my power banks.

you don't have to use the screw as I found the bottom plastic tab is strong enough to hold it in place.

This would work only with US voltage?
