Just a warning, I had 2 of these and out of the box, they exhibited a problem with the backlighting (waffle-like grid pattern). This was extremely horrible when watching sports or playing video games (panning left and right). This was like dirty screen effect but instead of certain areas, you had a grid like waffle pattern throughout the whole screen. If you search on avsforum and reddit, there are countless individuals who had the same problem.

Luckily, Sony was able to replace my t.v. with the newer version (X95K) which doesn't have this issue.

With the widespread complaints, this appeared to be an inherent issue with the t.v. FALD backlighting design itself. The newer models (Mini-LED) don't have this issue.

A $599 LG qned is not going to be brighter or have better dimming than this Sony. The qned you're talking about is edge lit and it's deceptive of LG to even call it mini-led. Also like 500 nits where this hits 1200 nits.

It's shipped by Maersk/Pilot freight. These appear to be shipped by Walmart. I called in to Maersk. They admit their tracking is bad but the TV is on a truck and should be here tomorrow.

I did not get so lucky on this one. Box was cooked and screen damaged with two dings. No factory screen film, dent on the bottom left and covered in dirt with no protection likely sitting in a warehouse. Interested to see what they do for for me and I don't really know how I'm going to get it back to them with the packing in such poor condition or missing.

Yeah, same here. My TV showed up after a 3-day delay with no updates, and today the Maersk driver called ahead to warn me the box was completely obliterated. There was no padding on the bottom of the TV, no bubble wrap, just the factory cardboard barely holding on, with about 80% of the bottom hanging off and duct tape holding one side together. The entire power cable was literally sticking out of the corner of the box and was dragging across the floor as they carried it into my garage. I really hope I get a refund for this joke, because there's no way I'm driving this down to the post office.

Please lmk if you also manage to get a refund for this. Many thanks!

Received mine today. The box was in rough shape, duct taped around the bottom, but managed to hold on. The only thing I've noticed are some marks on the screen, which I assume are imperfections in the anti glare coating. Not sure what to do with that...

Arrived. Bottom of the box scuffed and taped to main box but otherwise in perfect condition. All items intact and in their original packaging, except for the remote was used and in replacement packaging.. Came with batteries, instructions and all the cover plates. Screen was flawless, but protective screen was missing. Screen was unmarred, picture is stunning. Did have the protective plastic on all other areas of the TV. All in all really a slick deal! My screen did not show any signs of irregularity and NO grid pattern, but fully expect it to develop in the years to come. Hope everyone who ordered has as good of an experience as this. Good luck!

Yours sounds worse than mine. My TV is still quite useable and the picture is quite good. It was really difficult to get their support to respond but I was eventually able to get a $250 parti refund and I suspect if I pushed I could have gotten more. Do take to really good pictures and circle the damage when you send them in. I'm quite happy with the result for me as this will make an excellent $300 patio TV.
