Just a warning, I had 2 of these and out of the box, they exhibited a problem with the backlighting (waffle-like grid pattern). This was extremely horrible when watching sports or playing video games (panning left and right). This was like dirty screen effect but instead of certain areas, you had a grid like waffle pattern throughout the whole screen. If you search on avsforum and reddit, there are countless individuals who had the same problem.

Luckily, Sony was able to replace my t.v. with the newer version (X95K) which doesn't have this issue.

With the widespread complaints, this appeared to be an inherent issue with the t.v. FALD backlighting design itself. The newer models (Mini-LED) don't have this issue.

Local dimming on QNED always performs better. Besides this is old model with a damaged box with no guarantee on TV condition

LG qned85a is not full array per many test. Not an expert but that seems suspicious.

Has anyone personally owned/used this model before? I know it's a year or 2 old, but Sony Bravio's have always been on point (from the little Iv seen between in store and at my friends house who has a similar model that's an 85").

I have this 75" model x95j for 3+ years now. I bought it as a best buy used for approx $1200 at the time.

I'd definitely recommend it, for $500.

The rainbow effect mentioned in the comments is the anti reflective layer that is on the 75" & 85" models. It's not terrible and wasn't an issue for me, but I can see why some find it annoying.

Yeah... this was the time in which Sony was adding an additional filter layer that improved viewing angles but added issues....lower contrast ratio, rainbow affect and diminished the overall picture quality for the sake of wider viewing angles.

You're correct, I apologize for generalizing. This is indeed a 2021 model. HOWEVER, These Bravios are something else when it comes to clarity and upscaling (from the couple I mentioned above that I had seen in person). Was more looking for someone who that had purchased this specific TV new - Would love to know if it's able to stand the test of time. I'll say this, when this deal went live (only 2 hours ago, 1 had sold with 24 available). In these last two hours 18 have sold with only 24 in stock. I just went ahead and pulled the trigger... as much as I'd love to get more feedback on here I feel like the rate at which these TV's are selling after a long weekend of Crazy low priced 75" TV SALES also may be a testament to this very model. We'll see.. Would still love any extra info anyone that has personal experience with this very model and willing to throw my/our way! Wink it would be much appreciated! Also, don't rule something out because of its age DeejayMesh.. especially when it was towards the top tier end of that specific Sony product line..
