The CPU wouldn't be mobile AND soldered would it? Would it Lenovo??? Do they, disclose that literally anywhere? No. They don't. The execs are banking on your not knowing.

You're getting a $1000+ GPU included in this thing AND $300+ worth of ram. DIY for cheaper, you can't.

Exactly. The current RAM prices would get this close to $2000 if one were to build this themselves.

The GPU is $750. The RAM is SODIMM laptop RAM BTW, and that's fine performance wise. My issue isn't the price, it's Lenovo's blatant lack of transparency.

I think $2,000 is a stretch. And just because companies are charging more for RAM for a lot doesn't mean it's "worth" that. The "deal" in this system is the GPU. The catch is the CPU. It's a great CPU; it's just mobile and soldered to the motherboard.

PC Partpicker also has a nice intel system with a standard desktop processor and RAM for about $1,650. I think the price of this system is good, I just want folks to know what they're buying.
