This Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 stands out as a strong prebuilt value for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 5070 build with 32GB DDR5 and a 1TB SSD. The air cooled Legion design is described as quiet and more than adequate, and the price looks especially attractive for a new architecture system. The main knocks are that it is not liquid cooled, the RTX 5070 has only 12GB of VRAM, and the 1TB SSD and one year warranty feel modest next to pricier alternatives. A solid compact gaming tower if those tradeoffs fit your plans.

  • The deal is described as one of the best prebuilt options seen for a new architecture.

    jayead

  • The air-cooled Legion Tower configuration is reported to be more than adequate and super quiet.

    madmax2k1

  • A comparison suggests the Intel Ultra 7 255HX plus RTX 5070 Ti configuration can be the better value target versus the AMD 5070 option.

    reicaden

  • The configuration is called out as not using liquid cooling, which leads to a hard pass for some shoppers.

    IIVIIAster

  • The mobile-class Ultra 7 255HX pairing with an RTX 5070 Ti is questioned as a potentially strange combination.

    nikhil170

  • The mobile processor may be soldered to the motherboard, which could limit future CPU upgrades.

    BIackRaven

  • Performance concerns are raised because the Core Ultra 7 255HX is reported to outperform the desktop CPU in a Legion 5i laptop test.

Edit: He is right, this does seem like the better deal with the 255 and the 5070TI.

I've been out of the loop on game setup, but Ultra 7 255HX Processor + HM870 chipset seems to belong to the mobile performance class. Can you or someone shed light on why is this setup better? Seems to be a strange pairing with 5070 ti.

It's not better. It's been posted many times on here this fall. The 5070ti makes it better but the processor is worse because it's a mobile processor. If you search past deals you will find a lot of discussion on it.

The mobile processor might also be soldered to the motherboard making it so you can't upgrade it either. Makes it kind of a bad unfortunately.

I just bought this the other day from Best Buy for $1399 I believe. Do they do any sort of price match/adjustment?

Guessing if the other Lenovo 5070TI deal was paired with a normal desktop CPU and wasn't soldered, it would definitely be a better deal. Assuming this computer will be much easier to upgrade in a few years if wanting a better GPU or CPU

Tempted to buy this as I still have the PayPal 20% off, so all in would be just over $1,100. But concerned the 12gb VRAM in the 5070 is already too low for 2025 1440p gaming. Wonder how easy it would be to sell and just get a better card in the future

How to use the PayPal offer? I have the offer saved. I'm at the payment section in checkout but I don't see PayPal option?
