Maybe I'm missing something.. but I feel like it's worth mentioning - the redemption value of thank you points on Amazon purchases is like 25-30% worse than just doing a statement balance or cash to bank. So if you're only getting 30% like me, it's not really any savings at all.

FYI, when I applied the credit, I am seeing 125 pts = $1 conversion. I was expecting 100 pts = $1.

Great deal. It's been a while since I was eligible. I got a pair of shoes and some as batteries.

For anyone concerned about the bad deal using points just add $1.25 worth of points and pay the rest with another form of payment. You don't have to pay the whole thing with points.

U don't need to pay for the entire purchase with thank you points. You would use 125 points and get 30% of the entire purchase. Then if you want you could pay the rest in your statement with points.

i got 40%, used it in one shot for things that aren't normally discounted. Awesome. For those that didn't do the math, 125 points is $1, use the minimum points. And $50 limit means $125 target order to max 40% off.

nothing excludes anything as far as I've seen across all brands, except if you have used it recently. Amex is often, Chase sometimes, Citi not so much. Its pretty random, set up a notification maybe or check back now and again

My fiancee just told me about this just before I was going to order an Avantree Relay Bluetooth adapter from Best Buy. It's the same sale price on Amazon but I could have used a certain credit card for 5% cash-back on BB plus cb from a certain cash-back website. Got the 40% off deal ($1 = 125 points) and used it on Amazon and saved $12! Plus, I used the Citi Double Cash card to get 2% cash-back from my Amazon purchase.
