Pretty cool how they just give you a screen instead of RGB.

I got this for a build I did in Oct. Really like it. Just be forewarned that you will probably need to get some 8 Pin EPS CPU Extension Cables. I went with Lian Li's power supply, but because it is way up front, even the cables they supply would not reach the CPU power connectors on my motherboard.

At this time? They were already making the best cases when I first learned to build my own gaming rigs in 2003!

I'm interested in the case but I'm concerned with the negative reviews I read on the Newegg website about the LCD software and the mention of Lian Li using proprietary fans and it being a hassle to swap them out. Can anyone elaborate and/or confirm/deny?

For the screen it's no different than a case or other accessory that requires something like corsair icue or other 101 others out there. The software for the screen is OK, it's set and forget. Its the same software that works with other lian li stuff.
Fans that come with it are just average 140mm fans. I just keep them in, someday might upgrade them when bearings start to go, can connect to any mainboard or fan controller

I just got the 207 without the digital display.. the fans are terrible unless you like low level howling sounds that fluctuate..

Its hard to find information, does the screen get video from USB or HDMI? Do you HAVE to use the software to use it? Looks like it would be great for an Unraid build with basic display screen...but it sounds like the screen only works with the software installed and doesn't use HDMI.

I just ordered this and some of the reviews I read stated that it comes with an adapter cable for USB and can pretty much act as a second monitor. Sounds like it works without the software just by having the OS recognize is as a 2nd screen.

Haven't tried it myself, but I hear the sideways psu placement means you need a shorter than normal psu or the cables will bulge out the case

My very first PC I built had a Lian-Li PC60. So beautiful. One of the best cases I ever owned.

All of the fans are standard sizes, nothing proprietary about them. I replaced all of the fans that came included with mine. The display is neat, but the software can be buggy at times and glitch out. It doesn't happen that often, it happened more often when I was testing overclocks and getting frequent crashes in games which would glitch out the display as well. Usually a simple restart of the PC or restarting the software would resolve the issue. I doubt they will ever update the display software/drivers so you are stuck with the dozen or so premade templates or possibly create your own. You can also use the display as an extra monitor which is neat. Just set it in the software and your computer will recognize it as another monitor to duplicate or extend your display.
