If your someone who primarily uses this indoors I don't think that should be a problem, the 400nits, considering the price point and also that it's not only cheaper than a comfortable Samsung S10 Tab Fan Edition but it's also faster.

I think the deal downside for people is the limited years of updates this device will get. That said, for this price point and for the size I think this is an excellent mid-range tablet.

Was going for the pro version since has the bigger screen and faster processor but now debating between the pro for $247 or the 12.1" plus for $172. Any advice?

I just purchased the cheaper Tab Plus a couple of days ago, but ended up buying this today and will be returning the other. The CUP/GPU upgrades are worth the money, and they expand its capabilities beyond just the media player I was looking for.

i have both, the pro is heavier, nicer screen and little bit better speaker, also the pen more accurate. spap 8 gen 3 also way faster
