Have been watching this over for awhile and didn't go on sale often. Seems the be the best advertised price in a long time, pretty good deal. Also includes battery. Send to be very good reviews for this item. Can be used solo instead of 2-person. Planning on digging for both posts for fence and planting trees.

looks like a nice price, but maybe you (or someone else) got the last one?

I don't see any avail at $409 any more. Looks like a "regular sale" price for w/ battery is $499, so folks who got in at $409 probably did pretty good.

Maybe it blipped? I think it's back on for cyber Monday, unless this is somehow targeted

Just ordered one. You can get other augers for this including a 4" and 6" (good for planting bulbs or potted plants) and a 10" (for trees). You can also get an ice auger for ice fishing.

Can't comment for this deal, but I snagged one of these on yellow sticker discount for dirt cheap last winter and used it throughout the year for various garden projects. This thing is a beast. The kickback detection is a life saver because this thing would seriously mess you up without it.

I recommend pre-bracing the handle against one of your thighs because it still has to kick once before the anti kickback goes off, and I can tell you from experience that it'll leave you one hell of a bruise in that single kick if you had it held 6 in away from your leg.
