Do you set these era bookshelf speakers as rear speakers or left and right? Is it really worth the upgrade if I have a 2.1 set up with a bulk 10 inch sub and two JBL studio bookshelf speakers?

They would be rear surrounds in this configuration but can be moved or paired together to form a stereo pair.

Yes, you can use the Era's as rears. Or you can use them somewhere else if you don't want rears. It will sound a lot better than your JBL setup. You can also use a Sonos Amp for surrounds rears with regular non-powered speakers. That's what I did since I don't have power in the location where I put the speakers.

Are the apple gift card and wall mount voucher in-person deals? I'm looking at online and I can't find how to get those two items.

tried expensive and budget soundbars, Samsung HW-Q990D is excellent and shows up in SD for below 700 many times. IMO soundbars not worth paying $400/$500+ when sound/bass is more than enough from new budget one's for less than $400... speaker system is better way to go than paying more for soundbars....
