No, the resolution stays the same, it just makes it harder to capture the scan with lower FPS. If you scan something that is on a turntable there is no real difference, mainly matters if you use it freehand.
At the highest resolution it takes a lot of memory space though, so if you can really large objects with the finest resolution the RAM could become limiting at some point. Compared to the laser line or cross laser scanners from the Raptor or Sermoon series, the Ferret has relatively low hardware requirements.

Does the quality of the scan depend on how good a pc you have? Or having a crappy pc just means it'll take longer to process

I'm new in 3D printing. Does it work with any brand like Bambu lab?

I am guessing it's independent of the brand of printer you are using and this is more of a device to scan and turn into a file like STL or converting whatever format it uses to another file format so you can edit the model to your liking before making the right file to print on a Bambu lab or Creality printer. something akin to taking a photo with a camera and if the camera spits out jpg/gif/png and using a program to edit the file before using a HP printer (file format doesn't matter on the printer, but does on a software editing program).

Yes, the creality scan software can export several file types like STLs that can be imported in your slicer of choice.

The quality of the PC matters less than how still you can get your ferret to stand.

There are medications that accomplish this nicely.

It generates a standard STL file which any 3D printer can utilize.

This seems awesome, but I'm curious how well modern phone cameras with software can perform?
Enticing...

Yep, software accounts for half of what a good 3d scanner should be. Losing tracking and getting holes in your mesh adds extra time and effort when you have to carry the work into Meshmixer. I like scanning glossy objects and having to use scanning spray isn't always an option on larger items.

I wholeheartedly do not recommend purchasing this. I paid under $150 for the non-pro version (fairly sure the pro version just adds wireless capability which I don't care much about).
At 150, the product was just ok. I'm pretty patient and even I was tested with the janky software and meh performance. To be clear, it works, and could be useful, but at 269 that's a terrible price. Try to find a refurbished wired one like me instead, it'll probably be a lot less disappointing.

I'm guessing you still have to know how to build models once you have the scan. This just significantly speeds up the process?

How big of an item can this scan? (for example, Can I scan a life-sized football player and then print out a football player bust or am I limited to an action figure sized football player to scan?)

EDIT: Nevermind - I just saw the video on the site where the guy scans the girl who was working out and is able to print out a bust.

Anyone have experience printing out something like a human bust? Is it easy to do or did you have to break it out into multiple pieces and join them together?
