Yeah but these points are earned through regular day 2 day spending and then getting 20% makes discounts better.

I have FREE Citi ThankYou (legacy Sears card) card that has great promotions to earn up to 10% in Citi Thankyou points for grocery, gas, restaurants.

The value of going with Apple is that you very rarely can buy an iPhone discounted. You can get deals joining a mobile plan, but that's a different concept.

Same. I'd like to learn how it's beneficial to get Apple gift card considering buying directly from Apple is almost always more expensive?

edit: I see a response about iPhones never being discounted.

Citi ThankYou Rewards has some of the most favorable hotel redemption rates when compared to Chase UR, Amex MR, or Capital One Rewards.

I think 20% off Apple GCs are great, but I'm wondering if the better value lies in the hotel rewards?

Also for App store, Apple Care and Apple Repair, iCloud, Apple TV. I think you can also use it for in app purchases
