$100 more for the 256 GB and wondering if I get the 128GB, how much free space will be available to use after installing all the updates and most every day Apps? I mean if my kid wants to load any Gaming Apps, would there be enough space or better to get the 256 GB?

All depends on what kind of games your kid wants to play. I have this 128 mini but only have Roblox loaded for the kids and some supercell games and I'm not even pushing 40GB, plenty of storage for me. If your kid does LoL or COD those usually run something like 2-4GB each but can run up to 20GB with content packs, so a lot of variance based on what they are doing.

Thanks for the response and based on your reply, I fairly got an understanding and I think I better get the 256 GB on safer side so that he will have enough space and won't bug me Big Grin

if he run out of the space with 128 GB

This is an excellent deal too. Consider the base model 128GB is $499 full price, here you're getting double the storage for still $50 less than a base model (total of $150 off). Man, I just bought my 256GB a month ago at $499 too haha. Better to hafve a bit extra than not enough. 128GB is enoguh for casual web browsing, watching YouTube, light gaming... But if you want to store any video files, a ton of music or your child downloads larger more graphic-s heavy games, it fills up fast! Also, re-sale value is decently higher for the next storage tier up (Because 256GB is the sweet spot for the majority of users and Apple knows that lol).

I have the 128gb version of this.Here is what I have on mine.
151 apps
2,080 photos
54 videos
15 downloaded movies
And I still have 44gb available to use
