LG's 77 inch B5 OLED stands out as a strong value for deep contrast, excellent picture quality, and smooth 120 hertz gaming and streaming. The PayPal rewards stack can make the price especially compelling, with reports of 20 percent back or 25,000 points pending when the offer is available and checkout is done through Pay Later. The main drawback is brightness, since the panel is described as better in darker rooms and prone to glare in bright living spaces. The power cord also appears to be non removable, which matters for some installs. A solid pick if the room lighting and setup fit OLED.

Common Questions (5)

  • The offer requires saving it in PayPal, then checking out with PayPal Pay Later and choosing Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly if that option appears. It is capped at $1,250 in spend, which means up to $250 back as 25,000 points, and some accounts never received the offer.

  • It can still work for some accounts, but the offer is not available to everyone and may no longer appear after being saved. Successful checkouts show 25,000 points pending, while others report no luck even with multiple accounts and cards.

  • If the room is not very bright, the OLED is the better choice; if you have strong ambient light and limited light control, the QM7K or another mini-LED is the safer option. The B5 is also described as a very good deal, especially when stacked with PayPal rewards.

  • It is better suited to darker rooms and can struggle with glare in bright spaces because its peak HDR brightness is around 630-670 nits on a 10% window and about 150 nits full-screen. For a bright living room, a high-end mini-LED is the safer pick.

  • No removable plug is reported on the 77" B5, and LG OLEDs generally do not use a removable power cord. If you need to adapt it for another country, an adapter into a surge protector is the simpler workaround mentioned.

Wowza ! Hoping the PayPal 20% cash back works ! Even without that, it's a fantastic deal.

You can get a tv this big for cheaper, but not with this kind of picture quality. Great deal!

I bought this at 1499 a few weeks ago w/ the PP 20%. I'm considering asking BB for a price adjustment, but I'm curious if that puts my 20% back at risk?

It was "for some" a poorly executed offer by Paypal, where if you use their pay in 4 (basically agree to let them do softpull and break into 4 payment of whatever you are spending) then you get a 20% back up to I believe was $1500 (in $300 back maximum). I think it worked great for most, but some people were never able to add the offer. Paypal had it on their website for a day or two then took it off completely.

For those asking about the PayPal 20%. It will no longer work. PayPal changed the terms a few days ago. It is now capped at $1250 whereas it used to be $1500.

This is the very first line in their terms and conditions.

"Limited to one Eligible Purchase per customer, up to a total of $1,250 in spend."

So you pay 1300+tax and PayPal adds 25000 points?
