FWIW Torque Test Channel found that the 3/8" makes more torque than the 1/2"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqUCrwem2Lc
I thought they both were pretty much the same gun with different anvils

I have the dealt family of tools and just got the ratchet and 891 impact deal. I was considering adding this (different battery systems no big deal considering it's not the 20v family anyways).

Is this a poor combo to have? If this is 550tq, the 891 doesn't sound too useful considering it's only barely more at 800. Is this only worth it if I trade the 891 for something like a 961?

This is a killer deal!! This stubby impact wrench w/ that 5 amp high output battery can do 90% of what I need for automotive uses. If you're on the fence, get this deal, you won't regret it!

They are pretty much identical, but people are just finding that the 3/8" is slightly more torquey, even though they go in expecting the 1/2" to beat the 3/8"

I've got a 3/8 first gen stubby, really wanted the 1/2 instead of having to use an adapter. But this is a great deal with that battery.

Whoa!! Insane, still a killer deal with the newer HC battery which from what I read is needed to get peak power out of these stubby

Military thru the exchange no tax, 10% off and free shipping brings it down to $144 if you are eligible. I'll probably sell the battery since I already have two, bringing the price down to under $100. Now that's slick!
Can you post a link? I didn't realize they sold Milwaukee stuff. Thanks

I'm on the same boat have the old 3/8 and use with with an adapter for my 1/2 sockets. Don't you lose some torque with an adapter tho?

This is a great deal! The best deal, for those that didn't need the battery, was the hackable deal where the bare tool was $120. For $40 more you get the awesome 5.0 battery.
Was the hackable deal fairly recent? I'm hoping for just the bare tool. thanks

No, it was during the summer. I purchased 2x 1/2" and a 3/8". Too good to pass up!

Any good sockets to go with it?
I bought these impact sockets for around $100 on a hackable deal. They will be perfect for this impact wrench. SHOCKWAVE Impact-Duty 3/8 in. Drive Metric and SAE Deep Well Impact PACKOUT Socket Set (36-Piece) [homedepot.com]
